Summertime Tips:
- Enjoy a hike along the Saimaa Seal Trail, observing the nature around you, and have a picnic at the Norppalaavu lean-to shelter.
- Experience a charming ferry ride to Niinisaari or take in the scenic views along the Lietvesi Scenic Road.
- Cycle the archipelago route using the bike ferry for the full 60 km loop or just a smaller scenic segment.
- Head to the beach for relaxation and a swim. Check out Puumala’s swimming spots and sandy beaches.
- Go spotting for the Saimaa ringed seal while paddling or comfortably on a cruise!
- Watch glassmaking at Lasiruusu and shop in the boutiques of the village center.
- Visit the factory shop at Saimas Spinnery and find inspiration for your wool handicrafts.
- Enjoy local food at the restaurants and scenic terraces in Puumala.
- Finish the day with a relaxing sauna session at the lakeside saunas.
