Liehtalanniemi Museum Estate marina

  • Guest marina located approx. 10 km from Puumala along the Lappeenranta channel on the right. Follow the signposts.
  • 3 aft mooring buoys, 4 mooring buoys with cliff attachment rings (protective booms)
  • A max. 15 m vessel can moor at the pier, depth at the end of the pier 2–2.5 m
  • Landing site for canoes, nature trail, museum buildings and traditional Sami kota for eating

Rokansaari island

Saimaa Recreational Area Association (Saimaan Virkistysalueyhdistys) maintains the Rokansaari guest marina. The marina has 16-20 mooring buoys. Amongst other facilities there are an outhouse, fire pit, beach, summer café and nature trails in the area. Rokansaari is a Saimaa Geopark attraction, too. Saimaa facts

Puumalansalmi deep-water channel – Saimaan Kipralttari (“the Gibraltar of Saimaa”) – connects the waters of south and north Saimaa.  Saimaa is the biggest lake in Finland and the fourth-largest natural freshwater lake in Europe. Saimaa spreads across Southern Savonia, South Karelia and North Karelia. The Wall Street Journal included Saimaa in its list of the world’s five most spectacular lakes.
